  • Chorley Police Easter Egg competition winners

Fri 26 Mar 2021 Mrs Bird

Coppull Parish entered a competition, which Chorley Police launched to encourage school children to engage with care homes in their local community. Several of our classes took part, and created art work and crafts for Grove House care home, to cheer up their isolated residents. Two of our classes have been selected as winners, so well done to Reception and Year 1, who will all be going home today with an Easter Egg donated by Morrisons & Chorley Constabulary. A big well done to everyone who took part, I know the residents were delighted to receive your gifts.

  • Red Nose Day 2021

Fri 19 Mar 2021 Mrs Bird

It’s been wonderful to see so many children taking part in our Red Nose day theme and wearing some amazing silly outfits to raise money for this great charity. The children also got lots of exercise racing around the school field and playground balancing red noses on their spoons in our sponsored event. We have been completely taken aback by the amount of sponsorship money raised this year, which is well over a THOUSAND pounds. I am constantly overwhelmed by the generosity of our families, particularly after the year we have had, in which many of you have struggled financially, so all credit to everyone that was able to support this worthwhile cause and encourage our children to have a bit of fun, whilst helping others.

I have been out and about photographing the children taking part in their sponsored events. Look at all those happy faces and the determination in their eyes!! Well done to everyone involved.
