  • Celebrating Arts Week

    Fri 28 Feb 2014
This week we have been busy creating, drawing, painting, collaging and thoroughly enjoying a whole-school 'Art Week'.

All of the classes have foccused on either an artist, a set of art skills, art from a book or a particular art movement. As you can see from the images below, all of the work that the children have created is absolutely wonderful!

On the Friday of Art Week, we held a special exhibition after school for parents so that they could view some of the work that we have created this week.

Thank you to everyone who came to support the exhibition and we hope you like looking at some photographs of the exhibition and our amazing art work!
  • FLASH MOB at Coppull Parish!

    Fri 14 Feb 2014

As part of National Storytelling Week, the whole school have been secretly rehearsing a special book-themed dance named 'Gotta Keep Reading'.

Today was the day when we shared this dance with parents and surprised them with a Coppull Parish FLASH MOB of the routine!

It was great fun and reinforced how important and fun reading can be.

We hope all of the parents enjoyed it as we certainly did!

  • A Visit from the Students at Runshaw College

    Thu 13 Feb 2014
Today, Coppull Parish were treated to a visit from pupils at Runshaw College who performed two amazing plays for us.

We all really enjoyed 'Midas and the Golden Touch' and 'Androclese and the Lion'.

Both performances were excellent and we were so glad that the performing arts students came to visit us.
  • Storytelling Week - Share a Story

    Wed 12 Feb 2014

As part of National Storytelling week, the children have enjoyed hearing and
telling lots of different stories, poems and plays.

Our visiting author, Alec Williams, was a treat for both children and staff and it was great to have him at Coppull Parish.

All of the children have learnt a story to share with you as part of our storytelling week.

Our sponsored event involves the children now getting sponsored to tell it to as many people as they can. The more people they tell it to, the more money the children could collect.

All of the money the children raise will go towards refurbishing our school library, so please raise as much as you can!

A copy of the sponsor form can be found on our Latest News Documents page if you need a copy... or if you run out of room on your original copy!
