  • Celebration Exhibition of Africa Week

    Fri 14 Jun 2013
This week at Coppull Parish we have been learning all about Africa.  As part of our whole-school 'Africa Week', all of the classes have been finding out more about this diverse and amazing continent,  with a focus on the country of The Gambia.

During this week the children have experienced lessons from African cookery to African drumming and dancing, as well as a chance to find out more about Bijilo Lower Basic School, which is the school that we are linked with in The Gambia.

Mr Bolam came in to talk to us about the school and also about the visits that he and children from Southlands High School have been on there. During this week, we managed to raise an amazing £125 for Bijilo, which Mr Bolam will use to buy necessary school equipment. Wow!

This special exhibition, which was held after school on Friday,  was a celebration of all of the wonderful learning and work that the children have produced during this special themed week.
  • Open Afternoon

    Thu 13 Jun 2013

A big thank you to everyone who attended our Open Afternoon today.

It was a great success with over 60 visitors coming to see all of the great work that is happening at Coppull Parish Church School!

This week we have held an 'African Week' at school and it was lovely to be able to share our learning with those who came to visit.

There were many different events around school from amazing art work, ICT, baking, PE and not forgetting the African Café in Year 3!

We received many wonderful comments from our visitors.

Wonderful all through school. Y3 will have to set up a permanent cafe!

Great school and I enjoyed my visit very much.

    Brilliant school, children and teachers.

Fabulous displays - loved the cafe!

    Lovely and friendly.

A great display of children's work.

Really useful to walk around and look at all the work that the children have been completing.

    Very polite pupils.

The children and staff put a lot of effort into the afternoon and the children thoroughly enjoyed showing their work.

    Well done everyone!
