Healthy Heroes take part in sports event at Astley Park
Mon 20 May 2019Last Friday, four of the children from Miss Blackledge's 'Healthy Heroes' club took part in a sports even run by Chorley Sports Partnership. The children had a fantastic time participating in a wide range of different sporting challenges, alongside children from other local schools. They ran themselves ragged, had great fun and were wonderful ambassadors for the school through their excellent attitude and behaviour. Well done to Amy, Autumn, Noah and Ella! Choir performs at Last Choir Singing
Mon 01 Apr 2019The choir represented school at Last Choir Singing last night at Blackburn Cathedral and were amazing! They sang two pieces - a set song called We are the Stars, which was written for the competition, and their own chosen piece - Mr Blue Sky. This year, the choir have worked tirelessly to improve on last year, and were utterly fantastic - Mrs Bridge couldn't be any prouder. They were professional, energetic and sang beautifully. Well done to Evie and who Megan sang solos, which were captivating!

Whole school Geography Quiz
Tue 26 Mar 2019In our drive to improve our children's understanding of the wider world, it's religions, cultures and geography, we have been studying the continent of North America this term as part of our curriculum and homework tasks. In order to give the children the opportunity to showcase all this knowledge and understanding, Mrs Davison organized a brilliant Geography Continents Quiz last week. The children worked in teams with children from all year groups and answered questions relating to the geographical features, culture and history of North America. We were delighted with how well they all worked together and amazed at the amount of learning that had taken place over the term. Well done everyone and a big thank you to all the parents who helped them with their homework this term.
