Yesterday, we were treated to a visit from the very talented Wigan Ukulele Club, who like to bring 'Ukes into Schools' and entertain the children. As it is nearly Christmas, they all wore festive outfits (and we're pretty sure one of them was Santa) and played lots of familiar Christmas songs. Our Year 4 ukulele players had the privilege of playing alongside them at one point, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. All the children and staff had a wonderful time singing along and taking part in the 12 Days of Christmas extravaganza. It was wonderful! Thank you so much to the Wigan Ukulele Club and Mrs Jones, our Music leader, for organising such a festive event for us. 

Our wonderful PTFA organized an Afternoon Tea with Santa yesterday. All our volunteers got right into the Christmas spirit and dressed up for the occasion, then filled the hall with festive tables full of scrumptious treats for the children to enjoy. Much to their delight, they had a visit from Father Christmas, who presented them all with a gift, after deciding which staff were going onto the 'naughty' or 'nice' list this year. It was a whole lot of fun, but (as you can imagine) it took a lot of work to organize and run. So thank you to our fabulous PTFA volunteers for all their hard work - you brought huge enjoyment to the children, whilst raising much needed funds for the school.
