  • Harvest Service

Thu 02 Oct 2025 Mrs Bird

This Friday is our Harvest Service at Coppull Parish Church. Every year our families donate generously to the Harvest collection, by sending in cans, bottles, boxes and packets of food for the Church's selected foodbank. The children from our Worship group then deliver them to church and make displays of our gifts around the church. Here is a picture of Reverend Matt and some of our pupils in church. We are looking forward to the Church service on Friday with the opportunity to sing our Harvest Hymns, listen to scripture from the Bible and hear the vicar's talk. Thank you parents for your generous donations.

  • Author visit at Coppull Parish

Thu 02 Oct 2025 Mrs Bird

Today, author and illustrator Sean Perkins visited every class to share his brand new book: Oscar and Ben The Sleepover. The children loved listening to his story, joining in with some fantastic songs, and asking him brilliant questions during the Q&A session.

  • Recycling Workshops

Mon 08 Sep 2025 Mrs Bird

Last Friday, four of our classes were fortunate to be able to participate in creative learning workshops all about recycling delivered by Konflux Theatre. The focus this year was 'What goes around comes around' and the children had a really good session and learned so much. Thank you to the Konflux Theatre for visiting us - we really hope our children will put their learning into practice and find ways of recycling and making our Earth more sustainable.

    🐝 Coppull Parish Spelling Bee 2025 🐝
What a buzzing spelling bee final we had! It was a tricky one this year with some seriously challenging words, but our amazing finalists showed great determination and focus.
After lots of super spelling we made it down to our final three spellers.
We’re thrilled to announce a joint 2nd placeπŸ₯ˆ for Aaryan and Amaya in Reception- what an incredible achievement at such a young age.
A huge congratulations to our 2025 Spelling Bee champion Ava in Year 4 !πŸ₯‡
Well done to everyone who took part, we’re so proud of you all ⭐️ 🐝

  • Gardening Club achievements

Wed 09 Jul 2025 Mrs Bird

This week the Garden Club visited St James School Chorley who were the hosts for the Horticultural Show 2025. Schools from all over Chorley visited and exhibited in 18 distinct categories displaying vegetables, flowers, artwork, and fruit.

Our school garden club have worked hard nurturing peas, beans, tomatoes, blueberries, raspberries, carrots, spring onions, radish, potatoes, strawberries, and sweet peas. We are incredibly proud as a horticultural show takes commitment and dedication all year and this year was no different. We entered artwork from many children across the school.

We are delighted to announce that the Coppull Parish gardening club won awards in 13 out of the 18 categories, which is amazing - and purely down to the efforts of the children and Mrs Goymer. They are now hoping to build a polytunnel, so that their garden continues to flourish.

Here are some photographs of the event.
