As we are a Fairtrade school and it is Fairtrade Fortnight, our Kingdom Club led a brilliant assembly today explaining Fairtrade to their classmates and families. They were clearly passionate about fairness and justice for the hard working Fairtrade farmers, who produce essential products we cannot grown in Great Britain, and set out their plan to address this at Coppull Parish. They are organizing Fairtrade Fridays each week for the rest of the half term, where they run a Fairtrade stall selling orange juice and biscuits. Next Friday, they have organized a Fairtrade Bake Off competition, and a Fairtrade coffee morning, accompanied by a Fairtrade stall run by Cath Greenless, our local Fairtrade representative. In addition, for next week they have organized Fairtrade lessons for every class to complete, finished by a Fairtrade Quiz at the end of the fortnight. They have been an amazing driving force to raise awareness of Fairtrade and ensure that everyone has a wonderful time supporting this worthwhile cause.
