This year, our Kingdom Club have chosen to support the Woodlands Animal Sanctuary at Ormskirk. So far, this has involved the children attending the sanctuary, to see all the hard work done by the volunteers and find out what support the charity needed. The Kingdom Club then led a whole school assembly to share their learning with the rest of our school community and launched their fundraising campaign.
Over the last few weeks, the children have organized an animal themed non-uniform day, a bake sale and asked our families to have a Spring Clean and donate any unwanted items to the Woodland Animal Sanctuary's charity shop. There's been a lot of hard work involved and our pupils have raised over £200 for the sanctuary and delivered a 'car load' of donations for the charity shop.
Here is a photograph of a couple of our KC children dropping off our donations. The volunteers were delighted with our generous support when we delivered it all yesterday, so well done to the Kingdom Club for all their hard work and to everyone at school who was able to support this worthy cause.
