Anti-hate crime graffiti art competition winners

Coppull Parish, along with the other local schools, were approached by Chorley Borough Council and Lancashire Constabulary to support them with an art initiative to combat hate crime in the local area. We were more than happy to take part, as at Coppull Parish we feel strongly that everyone from any culture, no matter where they were born, or which faith they follow should be welcomed into our community with kindness, love and respect.  Our children welcomed the opportunity to produce a range of art which promoted love, not hate, and they created some beautiful and thought provoking art for the competition. And guess what? SIX of our children won and their art work now forms part of a graffiti mural on the side of the Springfield Pub and the railway embankment in Coppull. Here are a few photographs of the presentation ceremony, which took place at the Springfield Pub on Friday 20th October. A huge well done to Noah, Harvey, Oscar, Daisy, Cora and Mia for their winning entries and promoting love over hate in Coppull.
