Animal Rescue Assembly
Today we were visited by Michael Jones from the Animal Rescue Centre in Lancaster, who led an assembly (with Oatie, a rescued Border Collie) telling the children all about how to be safe around animals, how to be a responsible pet owner and all about the work of the Animal Rescue Centre. The children were incredibly interested in learning all about his work and loved the opportunity to meet Oatie. Our Kingdom Club had sent out an appeal beforehand to ask for donations for the Animal Rescue Centre and Michael was delighted by our generous gifts. So a big thank you is needed to the Kingdom Club for arranging this visit and to Michael and all his team for their excellent work protecting vulnerable animals in our society. Michael wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who was able to donate foodstuffs for the centre, as the need is always there.
