World Book Day Poetry Slam
What a brilliant day we have had today for WBD 2024. This year we decided to focus on poetry books and asked all the children to come in dressed as a character from a poem or nursery rhyme and they looked absolutely amazing. I don’t think two children wore the same outfit, there was so much imagination on display: we even had a real live Muffin Man, who brought in a tin of delicious muffins for us to eat. We started the morning with an incredible Poetry Slam, that saw all classes performing some wonderful poems and raps, with actions and humour – they had it all. What a fantastic way to celebrate WBD.
