Hello and a very warm welcome to our Year 6 class page! 

We are so excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to see all the wonderful things the children will achieve and learn together. In their final year of Primary school, we are looking forward to making memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.

A Little Bit About Our Class

Miss Robson is our class teacher and is supported each day by Mr Hedges. On a Thursday afternoon, Mrs Littler teaches the class and on a Friday afternoon, Mr Cooper teaches them.

PE Days

Our PE days are Monday and Friday. Please make sure your child comes to school ready for PE on these days. 

Reading & Homework

In Year 6 children are able to change their reading book as soon as they have finished reading it. Reading records will be checked daily and the expectation is that children will read at home everyday.

As we work towards preparing the children for secondary school and in order to help them grow in confidence, homework will be given weekly. Each week, the children will have:

• Spellings to learn for their weekly spelling test
• A short 10/15 minute Maths and English homework

We actively encourage parental involvement and support with homework, however, please encourage your child to take ownership over their homework and inform teachers if they are struggling so that we can further support them in school.
