GOVERNORS’ STATEMENT OF PRINCIPLES FOR THE BEHAVIOUR POLICY

At Coppull Parish School we are determined that everyone in our community has the opportunity to develop to their full potential within the context of a caring learning environment.

Together following Jesus’ teaching we aim to develop;

  • Attitudes of mutual respect and understanding of other races, religions and ways of life.

  • Strong links and partnership between home, school and parish.

  • A caring friendly ethos based on Christian values.

  • An atmosphere of learning, prayer and reflection to promote spiritual awareness within our community.

COPPULL PARISH SCHOOL CODE

We expect all children at Coppull Parish Church of England Primary School to follow the behaviours which are captured in our school code ‘SHINE’. Our school code is displayed prominently in all classrooms. Regular and consistent teaching, application and reminders of the school code ensures that it is understood and followed by all members of the school community.

OUR BEHAVIOUR POLICY

We know how important it is for parents and carers to understand how we promote positive behaviour and respond when things go wrong. Our Behaviour Policy explains our expectations for pupils, how we recognise and encourage positive choices and the steps we take when behaviour falls below our expectations. It also sets out how we respond to bullying, racism and prejudice-related incidents. We encourage all parents and carers to read the policy so that, by working together, we can provide children with clear and consistent messages and ensure our school remains a safe, happy and respectful place for everyone.
