PSHE
Intent
At Coppull Parish C of E Primary School, our intent is to deliver a high-quality PSHE and RSHE curriculum that is fully inclusive, accessible to all pupils, and designed to ensure every child knows
more, remembers more and understands more.
Our curriculum enables children to become healthy, independent, resilient and responsible members of society, prepared for life in modern Britain. It supports pupils in developing the knowledge, skills and attributes needed to manage their personal, social and emotional development in a safe and increasingly complex world, both online and offline.
We aim for pupils to develop the understanding required to build and maintain healthy relationships, manage emotions and wellbeing and keep themselves safe. Children are taught about rights and responsibilities and are supported to recognise risk, seek help and make informed choices.
PSHE and RSHE are underpinned by our Christian vision and values and promote a strong sense of self-worth, belonging and responsibility.
Implementation
PSHE and RSHE is delivered from Reception to Year 6 through a carefully sequenced and progressive curriculum, ensuring knowledge and skills are built upon over time.
