School Vision and Values

Our Theologically Rooted Christian Vision

At Coppull Parish CE Primary School, our vision sits at the heart of everything we do:

We strive to nurture a loving family ethos (I Thessalonians 5:11) in which everyone can flourish and develop their God-given talents (Matthew 25). Our aim is to inspire children to be compassionate, strong and courageous (Joshua 1:9), understanding that everyone matters in God’s world.

Our School Motto

“Let our school and our pupils be a light to the world.”
(Matthew 5:16)

Our motto reflects how our vision and values are lived out each day, encouraging our pupils to make a positive difference through their actions, attitudes and choices, both within school and beyond.

Our Christian Values

We teach and promote a broad range of Christian values rooted in the teachings and example of Jesus. These include:

Love, Joy, Wisdom, Humility, Thankfulness, Endurance, Respect, Trust, Peace, Forgiveness, Friendship, Justice, Hope, Creation and Koinonia.

These values shape our learning, relationships, worship and daily life as a school family.

Our Three Core Values

To ensure our Christian values are clearly understood and meaningfully lived by our whole school community, we express them through three core values (curious/courageous/compassionate). These values reflect how our vision is put into practice every day.

Curious

We encourage children to be curious learners who ask questions, seek understanding and develop their God-given talents.

Through curiosity, pupils:

  • Grow in wisdom

  • Develop a sense of wonder and joy in God’s creation

  • Learn to trust, hope and be thankful as they explore the world around them

Linked Christian values:
Wisdom, Creation, Trust, Thankfulness, Hope, Joy

Compassionate

We nurture a compassionate and loving family ethos where everyone feels welcomed, valued and supported.

Through compassion, pupils:

  • Learn to show love and respect

  • Build friendships and a strong sense of belonging

  • Practise forgiveness and live peacefully as part of a caring and joyful community

Linked Christian values:
Love, Respect, Forgiveness, Friendship, Peace, Koinonia, Joy

Courageous

We inspire children to be strong and courageous, standing up for what is right and acting with integrity, even when this is difficult.

Through courage, pupils:

  • Develop endurance and resilience

  • Learn humility and moral strength
Act justly and make a positive difference in God’s world

Linked Christian values:
Justice, Endurance, Humility, Hope

Living Our Vision and Motto

Through our Christian vision, values and motto, we support every child to flourish, recognising that everyone matters in God’s world. By living with curiosity, compassion and courage, our pupils are encouraged to be a light to the world, reflecting God’s love and joy through their everyday actions
