Year 4
Welcome to 2026 Year 4!
I hope everyone has had a fantastic half-term break and are excited to get back to school for the Summer Two half-term.
This half-term, Year 4 will be using 'Weslandia' to inspire their writing as the children will create their own non-chronological reports. In Maths, the children will be looking at topics like statistics, shape and translations as they finish off their learning with number. In Science, the children will continue to look at 'States of Matter' whilst also delving into the human digestive system and food chains.
During this half-term, children will be learning skills in PE to compete in cricket, whilst in DT, the class will be learning how to adapt a recipe to make biscuits which links with the children's Art, as Year 4 will be creating food art. In Geography, the child will begin to learn about the British Isles and specifically the four countries that make up the UK.
