Tom Cubbon received our cheque for an amazing £373.63 on behalf of Cyclists Fighting Cancer today. The money was collected by the children's recent penny collection and from the Christmas production raffle.
Cyclists Fighting Cancer is a charity whose purpose is to provide bikes, adapted tricycles and equipment to children and young people whose lives have been affected by cancer. The bikes provide a fun and practical way to regain lost strength, fitness and confidence.
The charity was founded by Mike Gristlewaite, a former resident of Heapey and member of Chorley A.C. who has twice recovered from cancer himself.
A big thank you to everyone who donated for this worthwhile and important cause.
