Down by the Pond

Today at Forest School, we made some viewfinders to help choose a composition for our sketches.
It was sunny and warm as we went for a nature walk. We spotted swans, coots, grebes, singing robins and canadian geese. We stopped by the pond and chose to sketch or go pond dipping. We found hundreds of tadpoles, a mayfly nymph, a water louse, whirlygig beetles, leeches, blood worms, and microscopic creatures-cyclops and water fleas. (Sorry, there's not too many photographs today due to a technical hitch.)
