Today we were very pleased to welcome Anna into our class. Anna Read is an artist who loves to make great things out of materials that were going to be thrown away. Our class were told that we were going to produce musical instruments out of a wide variety of recycled materials - we just couldn't wait to get started!
Initially, we were shown the recycled items that Anna brought into school and discussed our initial ideas for what we could make. After much deliberation, we finally decided to make beat shakers, sound tubes and a music-making rack (made from an old clothes rail)!
We had SO much fun designing and creating our musical items. The day went very quickly and we didn't want to leave at 3.15pm!
